You may recall me telling you my one-and-only little girl, Jennifer, was getting married to Andy Harlan, a method actor and graduate of the Lee Strasberg school who gives a good imitation of being madly in love with her, or really is. Well, they up and did it on Sunday, September 2, which also happens to be the date that my mother and father chose to get hitched, in Minersville, Pa., in 1935, the year before I was born. Jen and Andy tied the knot at the Chapel of the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, with several sets of moms and dads present, as both were adopted kids. Jennifer’s natural parents were on hand, Danny and Maureen, who had not seen her for 30 years, and so was her adoptive mom, Christine, my wife of 19 years, and her new husband James. And of course her stepmom, Patricia, my wife since 1993. The photo I picked to run today is one of my favorites, daddy’s little girl, when she was five. She was a beautiful girl, inside and out, and she was a beautiful bride on Sunday. I was so proud.
